Sifting site Zootaxa (find the link in the section on the right) I found an entire book, dated 2007, which could be useful not say but curious for a while 'people. Sure the amount of work behind is huge.

In the book in question is Checklist of catfishes, recent and fossil, and catfish catalog of primary types of Carl J. Ferraris Jr ., A work mastondotica classification and cataloging of all the nice (but not too) catfish discovered until 2005. This in a nutshell a checklist of 3088 species of the entire order (at least those that are valid and registered), then goes to 600 and if that goes well pages are significant.

may be useful to catfisher (I think of Patrick, for example), to solve some questions, but for sure we will have a much longer series of LXXX and Cxxx with which zoologists in the fight attempt at classification.
